Lea and Tinu from Thun are also traveling from Alaska to Patagonia with their pretty amazing Defender. A meeting like this one in the mountains has rarity value. Normally the former El Camino owner is on the Pacific coast, always looking for the perfect wave. We spend a few cool days together and hope very much that this is not our last meeting. So you two, get off the gas and get on the board so we can catch up with you again!
Conny & Fäbu
Canada, Jasper & Banff Nationalpark, October 2022
Like many travelers, we meet Conny & Fäbu from the Bern in a laundromat. A short time later our paths cross again in Jasper, Banff and later in Teton National Park. Every meeting was a great joy, we enjoyed the evenings around the camp fire with deep conversations enormously. The two love to Hike and spend several days in the tent on Backpacking Trips. Where better to do that than in the States and Canada. Their pictures of Brazil also awaken in us a desire to travel to the fifth largest country. Who knows?
Cathy & Pato
Alaska (July 2022), Utah (October 2022), Mexico (December 2022)
When they approached us at Chobb Lake in Canada, we were not in the mood at all. A few weeks later we met in Alaska, and had a blast together. We fish for salmon and spend wonderful evenings around the campfire. All the more we are happy about the reunion in Utah, where we drive the “Hole-in-the-Rock” together and explore slot canyons. In December, Cathy and Pato visit us in Baja California, where we spend five weeks together. Today we laugh about our first meeting and wait for a reunion in Chile, Pato’s homeland.
Marcel & Doris
Canada, Dempster Highway, June 2022
Along the Dempster Highway we meet Marcel and Doris from Switzerland. Together we celebrate the arrival of the northernmost point of our journey at the Arctic Ocean. On the way back, the ferry gets out of service and we are stuck. So we spend four days together until we can resume the journey. But it is not our last meeting. In Alaska, the two of them visit us in Valdez, where we have a blast fishing for salmon! We are already looking forward to a reunion in Switzerland, a next round of “Jass” and a hunting trip!
Dorian & Liliana
Mexiko, Chuburná, November 2021
For three years Dorian from France and Liliana(MEX) are on the road in Mexico – with a 10m long motorhome. For some time they have been renting a house in Chuburná to have a workplace for various projects. Dorian is the “king of the air”. No wind too strong – no megaloop too high. But he is not only an enthusiastic Kiter, he also offers paragliding trips. We got to spend some great days together with a perfect Kite session. We look forward to the next meeting – somewhere on the road. Hasta luego Amigos!
Jack & Priscilla
Mexico, Progreso, November 2021
In Progreso, while kiting, we meet Jack from England and Priscilla from Australia. The two lived in Canada for the last few years. Due to the Corona measures there, they flew more or less head over heels to Mexico. Now they travel the world – until it hopefully returns to normal at some point. Together we experienced cool cenote excursions, a diving day in the cenotes, some Kite sessions and many cozy hours at the bar.

Berna and Ulf with Swiss roots travel the world with their two dogs in an expedition vehicle. The two have been traveling for 7 years in Asia Canada, USA and Mexico. In Arcotete Nature Park they are the first campers we ever see in Mexico. And then another truck. We enjoy the company of like-minded people and spend two great weeks with campfires and exciting stories.
CHANG VONUNTERWEGS
Germany, Bremerhaven, July 2021
Hansi & Jacky from Basel have been on the road for 10 years already. They will be shipping their MAN expedition vehicle “Chang” to Mexico in July 2021. “Whaly” and “Chang” cross the Atlantic together, while we all keep our fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly. During three weeks we spend some evenings together in Veracruz. Later we meet again in Guanajuato (MEX), in Baja California and in Alaska. Someday our paths are sure to cross again!
Moni & Werner
Germany, Fehmarn, July 2021
At the campsite in Fehmarn we meet Moni & Werner as well as their two dogs Arthur and Sunny. They are in Fehrmarn for the umpteenth time, because their beautiful sailing boat – the Camelot – is stowed there. The two set off on a sailing trip to Denmark. Before we set off, we are invited for coffee and cake on the wooden ship – into which a lot of love has been put. Thank you again for the tour. Break the mast and the sheet!
Car full of dreams
Spain, Güéjar Sierra, June 2021
Bart & Annelouc from Holland travel with their Toyota Landcruiser “Ted” from Holland to Japan. On the way, they support projects with a good cause. In the Sierra Nevada Nature Park in Spain, we meet them at the campsite in Güéjar Sierra. We spend a couple of evenings together in Granada and the Alpujarras, swapping travel stories. Have a good trip to Japan, it was nice to meet you!
